Scientific Advisor – Quantum Benchmarking & Reproducibility

About this role

SoftQuantus is developing QCOS, a Quantum Control Operating System focused on benchmarking, reproducibility, drift analysis, and hardware reliability. We are seeking a PhD-level Scientific Advisor to help shape the scientific foundation of our platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design validation protocols for QCOS
  • Develop reproducibility standards for quantum experiments
  • Support publication-grade methodology and research output
  • Advise on hardware scaling evaluation and performance metrics
  • Review and validate benchmarking methodologies

Requirements

  • PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Strong research track record with publications in quantum computing
  • Expertise in quantum benchmarking methodologies
  • Experience with noise modeling and error mitigation
  • Knowledge of experimental reproducibility frameworks
  • Hardware-aware quantum algorithm design experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience with quantum hardware (superconducting, trapped ions, neutral atoms)
  • Prior advisory experience with deep-tech startups
  • Connections to European quantum research institutions
