QCOS BenchAdd-on

Operational Quantum Performance Certification

Measure what matters: workload success, reproducibility, and operational stability. Not vendor claims — empirical evidence from your actual executions.

Important: QCOS Bench does not measure physical qubit properties (T1, T2, gate fidelity). We measure observable operational performance — what you can actually verify from job execution.

Operational Metrics

These metrics measure observable execution outcomes — what you can empirically verify from your quantum jobs.

Operational Fidelity Score (OFS)

Workload success rate under real execution conditions

Measures actual job success, not theoretical gate fidelity

Reproducibility Index (RI)

Variance when repeating identical workloads

Statistical consistency across multiple runs

Drift Coefficient (DC)

Performance stability over time

Detects degradation before SLA violation

Effective Circuit Depth (ECD)

Maximum useful depth before output collapses

Practical depth limit for your workloads

Queue Volatility (QV)

Wait time predictability

Operational scheduling reliability

Cost-to-Success Ratio (CSR)

Economic efficiency per successful execution

FinOps metric for budget planning

How It Works

Methodology

Execute → Measure → Analyze → Certify. All evidence cryptographically signed.

1

Standardized Workloads

Execute predefined benchmark circuits across backends. GHZ scaling, depth stress, noise probes — all versioned and reproducible.

2

Execution Telemetry

Capture success probability, variance, queue time, and runtime. Every data point timestamped and signed.

3

Temporal Drift Analysis

Track performance over time. Detect degradation against historical baselines. Alert on threshold crossings.

4

Evidence Generation

Produce cryptographically signed artifacts. ML-DSA post-quantum signatures. SLSA Level 3 provenance.

NEW IN V3

Evidence Durable

Store, sign, and verify benchmark evidence with cryptographic integrity. Built for procurement, audit, and regulatory compliance.

  • Ed25519 signatures (ML-DSA post-quantum ready)
  • Tamper-evident storage with hash chains
  • Offline verification — no SoftQuantus dependency
  • SaaS, VPC, or sovereign deployment options

Important Clarification

What QCOS Bench Is Not

Scientific honesty matters. Here's what we cannot and do not measure.

QCOS Bench measures T1/T2 coherence times

We measure operational success rates, not physical qubit properties. T1/T2 are vendor calibration metrics — we measure what you actually care about: does your workload succeed?

QCOS Bench certifies quantum hardware quality

We certify operational performance from the user's perspective. We cannot access or measure physical qubit properties — only observable execution outcomes.

QCOS Bench replaces vendor benchmarks like Quantum Volume

QV is a vendor-defined metric. We provide complementary operational metrics based on real workloads, not synthetic protocols.
